Julio Cardoso is a Tourism Technician in the Municipality of Alcoutim and has lived on the Guadiana River since 1998, crossing it every day of the year. He organizes local and cross-border festivals that the entire international Guadiana community loves, such as the Caminheiros – Alcoutim and Sanlúcar de Guadiana Hiking Festival and the Contraband Festival, which brings us culture and art from all corners of the world, with eclectic and vibrant performances for 3 non-stop days.
Julio has collaborated with our festival since the beginning, presenting the first two editions at the Riverside Tavern, later leaving this wonderful task to his late colleague Nelson Fernandes, and returning to collaborate with us in the most recent editions.
