QUEM É O BOB? TO HEADLINE THE 2026 FESTIVAL

This is an incredibly talented and entertaining Bob Marley tribute band who have been have been celebrating reggae culture and rhythms for about 20 years.

FLIP AND CAROLA TO PLAY THE BEACH STAGE

Filipe Santos and Carola Sprengel met at various festivals in Portugal. On the Portuguese guitar, Filipe plays a mix of pieces by the guitarist and composer Carlos Paredes, reimagined with a modern touch; his repertoire also includes a blend of Portuguese and international songs from other musical genres. Carola, playing the accordion, has a particular love for classical music as well as Eastern European Gypsy music.
In this combination, they will make their debut as a duo at the Guadiana International Music Festival in October.
MARGEM DO RIO CONFIRMED FOR 2026 CAIS STAGE

Margem do Rio are Joao Simoes and a collection of outstanding local and international musicians that the river has delivered to us over the years. They practice regularly to play for local events.
They perform an eclectic mix of pop, rock, and Portuguese popular classics. This is a must-see band that is always popular in the Alcoutim music scene.

Sunday we have the traditional open mic and accoustic Guadiana Wrap Sessions sessions where the musicians do their own thing.
Come along and join in, clap, sing, drink, whatever. This is usually a fantastic wind-down for everybody.

To All Photographers
This year as part of the Guadiana International Music Festival we are having a photography exhibition. The photographs will be displayed in Casa Dos Condes Biblioteca Carlos Brito (aka Alcoutim Library)
We are especially interested in displaying old or historic photos of Alcoutim, San Lucar and the Guadiana River. These will include pictures of people of the locality at work and play, the structures and industry of the region and its agricultural and maritime heritage and tradition. If you have any of these please send them to us for inclusion in the exhibition.
We will also display contemporary photographs of the region and the wildlife that thrives within it.
Rules of entry; Pictures should be at least 3,000 pixels. (if you have some very old pictures please contact us and we will advise how best to enter).
