Gâteau roulé à la confiture
Ingredientes
Para o bolo:
- 4 ovos
- 80 g de açúcar
- 80 g de farinha
- 1 pitada de sal
Para o recheio:
- 150 a 200 g de compota (morango, alperce, framboesa… à tua escolha)
Preparação
- Pré-aquece o forno e prepara o tabuleiro
- Pré-aquece o forno a 180°C.
Prepara a massa
Enrola o bolo
- Retira cuidadosamente o papel vegetal.
Bom apetite!
Gâteau roulé à la confiture
Ingredients
For the cake:
• 4 eggs
• 80 g granulated sugar
• 80 g flour
• 1 pinch of salt
For the filling:
• 150 to 200 g jam (strawberry, apricot, raspberry… whichever you like)
Preparation
1. Preheat the oven and prepare the tray
• Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
• Line a baking tray or your oven’s drip tray with a sheet of parchment paper.
1. Prepare the batter
• Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
• Beat the egg whites with the pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.
• In another bowl, whisk the yolks with the sugar until the mixture turns pale and doubles in volume.
• Add the sifted flour to the yolks, gently folding it in with a spatula.
• Add the beaten egg whites in 2–3 batches, folding gently so they don’t deflate.
Bake the cake
• Pour the batter into the prepared tray and smooth the surface with a spatula.
• Bake for 8 to 10 minutes (it should be golden and spring back when touched).
• Let cool for 5 minutes, then turn out onto a clean tea towel sprinkled with granulated sugar.
Roll the cake
• Carefully peel off the parchment paper.
• Spread the jam over the whole surface of the cake, leaving a small border around the edges.
• Roll the cake up from one long side, keeping it tight but not too tight.
• Let it rest for at least 1 hour (or in the fridge) so it keeps its shape.
Tips
• For a perfect roll, spread the jam while the cake is still slightly warm: the heat makes it more flexible and less likely to crack.
• Sprinkle the tea towel with granulated sugar to stop the cake from sticking.
• You can dust the top with icing sugar before serving for decoration.
Enjoy!
