Sunday 19th October

Join us to stroll away the cobwebs after two days of partying to fantastic live music, and to discover some of the area’s natural beauty.

We’ve planned a 10km (6.2 miles) walk that starts in the village and heads north alongside the river, following in the footsteps of the contrabandos who once carried out their smuggling activities here.

The route then turns away from the river for a short section of steep uphill, but the effort is rewarded by beautiful views and a surprise along the way!

We then return to the wider tracks, heading up to the highest point on the walk. There’s a short section of road and then another wide track that takes us back down towards the river, with sweeping views across to Spain and an opportunity to visit the ruins of the Moorish castle.

We’ll finish at the Tá-se Bem Beach Bar where you can spend a relaxing afternoon listening to more live music at the Sunday Open Mike session.

Please register your interest to walk at gimffringewalk@gmail.com stating the numbers in your group.
